Upgrading to 4G

Cable assemblies from HUBER+SUHNER

One of the largest US mobile telecommunications operators, is planning to upgrade 40,000 mobile communication sites to the new, faster 4G technology over the next four years.

Approximately one third of the sites will be converted by a world-leading equipment provider – with cable assemblies from HUBER+SUHNER. A new production site dedicated specifically to these production activities was established in minimum time in Mexico.

As of 28 December 2012 HUBER+SUHNER acquired the assets of Astrolab, Inc. based in Warren, New Jersey. With its patented minibend^TM and microbend^TM cable assemblies Astrolab is mainly active in high tech niche markets like space & defence and offers high end radio frequency solutions for industrial markets.
