ATEX certified entry and surge protective devices

Communication, IOT and Industry 4.0 applications become more and more important, since they allow for higher productivity, better reliability as well as real-time monitoring and controlling. The trend is also in industries where additional regulatory measures for protection against explosions have to be implemented.

This includes, but is not limited to off- and onshore environment, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, grain, flower and sugar refining as well as mining. HUBER+SUHNER introduces certified products to serve the specific needs of this market.

HUBER+SUHNER Ex-proof devices can basically be used in any radio equipment and wireless infrastructure. Typical applications are process control and automation as well as access points, WiFi and cellular services. Entry devices are mainly required for coaxial cabling with Ex d enclosures, and SPD devices are employed in configurations with remotely installed antennas.
ATEX entry and surge protective devices are compliant to the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU for use in potentially explosive atmospheres or hazardous locations and are in accordance with IEC/EN 60079 series of explosive atmosphere standards.
