Ships - Submarines

Ships - Submarines
HUBER+SUHNER connectors, cable assemblies and protection devices are designed to withstand the harsh environments encountered aboard a ship or submarine. Our designs meet the military requirements for salt fog testing and we can custom design solutions using o-rings and/or glass seals for the most extreme conditions. HUBER+SUHNER uses RADOX® and LSFH (low smoke free of halogen) materials to address the challenging flammability and smoke density requirements inherent in naval applications.

Applications
  • Submarine
  • Ship
Requirements
  • LSFH -  low smoke free of halogen
  • Corrosion protected and highly dust- and waterproof solutions
  • Field mountable with smallest feedthrough

Microwave cable assemblies

HUBER+SUHNER SUCOFLEX flexible microwave cable assemblies offer superior electrical and mechanical performance for static and dynamic applications. This series is a high-end product designed to provide optimal performance up to 50 GHz, where stringent electrical requirements, in particular electrical stability and low loss, are important. Ideally suited for test and measurement applications and defense systems. Additional lightweight high-end versions are designed to meet the stringent needs of space flights systems (i.e. satellites) and aerospace systems (aircrafts, helicopters, missiles), which are subject to extremely severe operating conditions. SUCOFLEX is only available as assembly.

SUCOFLEX 100

SUCOFLEX 100

The SUCOFLEX 100 series flexible microwave cable assemblies offer superior electrical and mechanical performance for static and dynamic applications. This series is a high-end product designed to provide optimal performance up to 50 GHz, where stringent electrical requirements – in particular stability and low loss – are important. Their mechanical and climate resistance properties surpass those of standard flexible cables.

SUCOFLEX 200

SUCOFLEX 200

The tape wrapped SUCOFLEX 200 microwave cable assemblies have been specifically developed for high performance and anywhere the best insertion loss, high phase stability versus temperature, excellent return loss and mechanical stability are most important.

SUCOFLEX 400

SUCOFLEX 400

The SUCOFLEX 400 microwave assembly family has been specifically developed for high performance defense, medical, test and measurement technology applications, and anywhere the best insertion loss, high phase stability versus temperature and bending, excellent return loss and mechanical stability are of the utmost importance.

Eacon - field terminated microwave assembly

Some applications require on site flexibility because undefined conditions in the field ask for cable length and connector configuration right on the spot, while other scenarios ask for assembly termination after the cable installation (for example, if the cable feedthrough is smaller than the connector dimension).

Therefore, HUBER+SUHNER offers solutions to terminate microwave assemblies in the field with a tool box that allows easy, quick and solderless cable assembling, without affecting our high product standards.

Eacon

Eacon

Eacon stands for a simple, flexible and fast way to assemble microwave cables and connectors in the field without compromises to the best performance. The field mountable microwave cables and connectors are light and waterproof, built for frequencies up to 18 GHz – ready for use in the defense market as well as generally in the industrial market.

LSFH cables

The PTFE/FEP cables of our RG/K series are designed for applications up to 200 °C and are characterised by low losses, especially at high frequencies. The Enviroflex cables do not contain fluorine plastics either in the dielectric nor in the jacket and thus provide a robust and environmentally friendly option.

Enviroflex

Enviroflex

The Enviroflex cable family enables users to quickly switch from fluorine-containing cables to halogen-free alternatives. The materials used in the cable design – both for the dielectric and for the jacket – do not include any fluorine-consisting plastics. The dimensions of the individual cable types are entirely compatible with the international RG standards. Standard connectors can be used without any restrictions with the Enviroflex cable family. HUBER+SUHNER´s control of various key technologies has proven to be an invaluable advantage.

Spuma

Spuma

The HUBER+SUHNER Spuma product family stands for lowest loss with halogen free materials. Shielding and VSWR are optimised up to 6 GHz. The cables are more flexible than corrugated ones, allowing easier handling and installation. Tight bending radii are possible. With this set of features, Spuma can support a multitude of application in various industries, including railway, defense, communication, instrumentation and others. Spuma products can also be used as drop-in replacement for LMR® (LMR® is a brand of Times Microwave Inc.).

Antennas

GPS antennas / distribution

GPS antennas / distribution

The GPS L1 / L2 antennas are ideally suited for exterior installations on roofs. These HUBER+SUHNER antennas contain large selective patch antennas and an RF band pass filter that attenuates cellular and radar frequency ranges in order to minimise interferences and blocking effects.

Fiber optic cable systems

HUBER+SUHNER is the global leader for remote radio installation solutions. We have a comprehensive offering of FTTA (fiber-to the-antenna), PTTA (power-to-the-antenna) and HTTA (hybrid-to-the-antenna) products, which are tailored to the customer’s needs. We advise operators about which installation methods are available and what their advantages are. We are experts on how to make savings on installation costs and how expensive follow-up costs can be saved. HUBER+SUHNER implements future-proof passive cable network infrastructures, which are compatible with all system vendor products and endure the future generations of active equipment.

MASTERLINE Extreme

MASTERLINE Extreme

Multi-riser cable with compact divider

MASTERLINE Extreme with Q-ODC-2 connectors is an efficient solution in terms of ease of installation, cost and required space on the mast. The compact divider minimises the wind-load and can be fed through small holes (80 mm diameter). The ruggedised push-pull connector Q-ODC allows the installer to connect the RRH jumper cables with a single "click", making it a genuine "plug & play" cabling system. MLE with Q-ODC is available to support up to 12 remote radios.
MASTERLINE Extreme with one Q-ODC-12 connector allows the installer to connect 6 RRH jumper cables with a single "click" and can even be installed through holes with a diameter of 20 mm. The Q-ODC-12 connector has the highest fiber density, based on the proven QN push-pull mating system and can connect 12 fibers in one mating step.
MASTERLINE Extreme is the preferred choice of network installers who require trouble free, reliable and efficient field deployments. HUBER+SUHNER`s MASTERLINE Extreme product family is unique in the market and provides the best value for money.

Fiber optic cables

HUBER+SUHNER offers a wide range of fiber optical cables, optimised for fix or mobile applications at indoor and outdoor areas. Due to new market demands innovative products are developed and tested in accordance with international standards, which fulfil high mechanical and thermal conditions as well as fire requirements.

All-optical switches

Polatis' highly reliable piezoelectric Directlight® beam-steering technology sets the industry standard for lowest optical loss and highest performance. With more than a billion port-hours accumulated on deployed units, the Polatis technology platform delivers a broad range of class-leading all-optical matrix switch products into demanding applications. At the core of Polatis optical switches is our patented DirectLight beam-steering technology that makes connections using compact piezoelectric actuators to align collimated beams of light from opposing arrays of input and output fibers with minimal loss, distortion or interference between paths. Alignment is maintained using feedback from integrated position sensors to ensure connection stability over time, temperature and external disturbances. Switching occurs completely independently of the power level, colour or direction of light on the path, enabling pre-provisioning of dark fiber and avoiding concatenation of switching delays across mesh or multi-stage switched optical networks. Polatis optical switches are fully non-blocking and available in sizes from 4x4 to 384x384.

Series 6000 PSS

Series 6000 PSS

The Polatis Series 6000 Protection Services Switch (PSS) is a versatile solution for a wide range of protection switching applications. The PSS can protect up to 16 transmission RX/TX line pairs in a compact 1RU space and uses less than 25 Watts. It can operate as a standalone protection switch or it can be controlled and monitored by a higher level network management system to expand its capabilities.
