September saw the start of the pilot phase of a public gigabit Wi-Fi access point on the famous Fan Mile in Berlin, Germany. HUBER+SUHNER is providing Wi-Fi antennas and coaxial cables, thus playing its part in enabling users in the area to surf, chat and stream for free for 30 minutes.

OTSB - optical telecommunication outlet

Optical Telecommunications Outlets (OTO) are used for fiber optic termination of the respective residential cabling. HUBER+SUHNER‘s Optisocket manages up to 4 fibers with a minimum bending radius protection of 15 mm. To connect the customer premises equipment (CPE) with the OTO, an optical connection cable (OCC) is used. Depending on equipment-specific connectivity, HUBER+SUHNER offers a large range of different types. The Hofis system combines HUBER+SUHNER’s optical outlet (Optisocket) with a pre-assembled low-bend installation cable offering easiest installation of fibers in the living area of end customers.
