HUBER+SUHNER has now decided to focus more on its core business of electrical and optical connectivity solutions and has withdrawn from activities with little upside potential. The established organization with the two business sectors of Communication Technologies and Polymer Systems was replaced by a new, more customer- and market-oriented structure. The new Mobile Communications + Electronics sector incorporates the activities of high-frequency interconnect technology for telecommunication and industrial applications. The copper cable and fiber optics businesses, as well as network solutions for applications in transportation, telecommunication, and industry, are part of the new Wired Solutions + Networks sector.
This sector also includes the Polymer Solutions division, which covers all activities that do not fall within the Group’s core business. These activities will be managed on a largely independent basis with clear financial targets.
