Since 1979 with Helvetia Versicherungen, St.Gallen: 1991 to August 2007 Chief Executive Officer, 2001 delegate and since 2003 chairman of the board. Vice-chairman of the board of Allreal Holding AG, Baar, and member of the board of various non-listed companies, among others Metrohm AG, Herisau. Chairman of the Swiss Insurance Association.
