Continuous improvement of environmental performance
Environmentally beneficial business activities are a declared element in the HUBER+SUHNER corporate philosophy. The Group is committed to the continuous improvement of their environmental performance. The appropriate tools and structures are in place. The environmental management system is an integral part of the overall management system and is continuously further developed within this framework.

Compliance with laws
We observe laws and regulations at all group sites throughout the process chain from development and procurement, production, packing and storage to transport and waste disposal.

Environmentally compatible processes
We avoid unnecessary environmental emissions; those which we cannot avoid we reduce, where technically possible, to an ecologically acceptable level. Giving consideration to ecological and economic aspects, HUBER+SUHNER apply state of the art tools. The effectiveness of measures taken is verified at regular intervals. Risks are controlled within the framework of the safety scheme.

Environmentally beneficial technologies and products
The products and services that HUBER+SUHNER offers on the market are considered to be environmentally beneficial and resource-saving throughout their life cycles. Ecological aspects are taken into account as early as during the development and design stages. The environmental impact of new activities, products and processes is assessed in advance. Our customers are informed about the relevant environmental aspects of our products.

Sensitising employees
HUBER+SUHNER employees are sensitised to enable them to bear their ecological responsibility in the workplace as well as in their leisure activities.

Supplier obligations
HUBER+SUHNER expect supplier’s products to conform to highest environmental standards and to make on-going improvements to ensure those standards. In the evaluation and selection of strategic suppliers, ecological aspects will be taken into consideration and regularly scrutinized. Our suppliers are required to comply with the principles of HUBER+SUHNER environmental policy.

Contacts with authorities and interested parties
The collaboration of HUBER+SUHNER with authorities is open and proactive. Honest communications are maintained with all interested parties, and a relationship based on trust is strived for.
