Print viewRoof-top bus antennas

Buses can join different communication scenarios, like

  • Mobile communication
  • Passenger information systems
  • Localisation systems
  • Multimedia information
  • Signalisation control

Antennas on the roof top shall provide multi-band operation. This approach avoids the installation of more than one antenna, also for upcoming communication standards. Easy installation and maintenance free products are first choice.
The Sencity omni-directional antennas SWA 2459/360/7/20/V_1 and SWA 2459/360/7/20/V_2 support the frequency range 2.4-6GHz in a very small housing. SWA 2459/360/7/20/V_1 is additionally protected against short circuits with overhead lines (10kA/100ms).

Key features:

  • Broadband omni-directional roof-top antennas
  • Support WiFi/WiMAX 2.4, 3.5 and 5 GHz bands
  • High voltage / high current protection design available
  • Fire retardant, toxicity and density of gases according to NF-F-16-101 and 102 design available

Target applications:

  • WLAN 802.11 a, b, g, n and WiMAX 802.16-2004 & 802.11-2005 applications for (trolley) bus

Note:
For an application with different communication system in a frequency range 0.8 – 6 GHz, please refer to the Sencity Avant. It it also available with an embedded GPS/Galileo antenna.
