As a world first HUBER+SUHNER introduced a waterproof version of the successful QMA connector. The interface design is based upon the standard QMA and is tailored to extended requirements of our customers. The proven standard QMA has been designed for indoor use. The waterproof QMA can be used for outdoor applications.

Key Features of the waterproof QMA are:

  • IP 68 ingress protection rating
  • Intermateable with QLF® certified standard QMA jack
  • Same outline as standard QMA
  • Enhanced Temperature Rating +105° C
  • MIL Vibration Level like SMA connector

Applications:

Target markets are Telecommunication, Industrial and Defence applications. This design will suit the needs of users that require quick and space saving interconnections in exposed applications like Wireless Communication & Transmission systems.
The connector will be ideal for units which are exposed to humid environment such as air ventilated cabinets or outdoor modules. Furthermore the improved vibration and temperature resistance allows for usage in rough environment on vehicles or portable units.
The product range of waterproof QMA connectors includes cable plugs for flexible and semi-rigid cables as well as terminations. The basic range will be continually extended with customized designs.
