A merger for the future: Two family companies with a strong tradition, Aktiengesellschaft R+E Huber, and Suhner & Co. AG merged in 1969. The resultant HUBER+SUHNER AG focused on the product sectors of cables and cable systems and communication transmission technology. This marked the beginning of today's HUBER+SUHNER Ltd.

Celebrating an anniversary is not only a view back into an exciting history. It is also a celebration of the present combined with an outlook into the future. Recently HUBER+SUHNER Switzerland partied its 50th anniversary in Winterthur together with its investors, shareholders, VIP's, Swiss customers and suppliers and last but not least with its employees.

Increasing convenience of passengers

Connected Mobility is one of the key terms describing digitalisation in the transport sector. The growing need for data networks in both private and public transport has led to a significant increase in the demand for antennas for trains and buses that transmit signals inside the vehicle and along the track. This and the SENCITY® Road product range were part of the discussions at a joint workshop between Flixbus representatives and HUBER+SUHNER engineers.

LISA Video: Centralized cross-connects

The LISA fibermanagement system is commonly used as a centralised cross-connect in the Main Distribution Area of large datacenters. LISA racks can be positioned against unused walls at the end of cold aisles or back to back on a single floor tile. The racks have a maximum density of 3600 LCD ports per rack (100 cassettes with 36 ports each) or 7200 LCD ports per floor tile when placed back to back. Watch our new video.
