Deutsche Bahn relies on fiber optics and RADOX
The ICE 3 train has been travelling through Germany at speeds of up to 300 km/h since the year 2000. The time has now come for a redesign. Germany's fastest train is to be fitted with modern passenger information systems and a high speed network. In a total of 67 trains copper and fiber optic cables from HUBER+SUHNER will be used to connect the backbone with all devices.
New Microbend L
Microbend L is an enhanced, low loss version of the solderless Microbend coaxial cable assembly. With increased phase stability and power handling capacity, it is designed for use in low profile, internal, point-to-point interconnections between RF modules within communications systems. Microbend L is a flexible alternative for 0.047 inch custom semi-rigid cables providing 55% lower attenuation and eliminating the need for predefined custom lengths and bend configurations. Microbend L is a preassembled and 100% tested high performance assembly available in a variety of connector configurations.
RADOX® cable for Seoul Metro
Since its opening in 1974, the Seoul Metro has remained the most popular and convenient mode of transportation for locals and tourists alike. Last year, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced plans to replace 600 train carriages of Seoul Metro’s Line 2 stock. The Dawonsys-Rowin consortium was chosen by the Seoul Metropolitan Government for the first phase of the project. DAWONSYS selected HUBER+SUHNER to provide the cables for electronic boxes and the assembly of the subsystem, including door control, brakes, signals and sensors.
