Cooled charging cable wins Bavarian State Award for Electric Mobility
HUBER+SUHNER has developed a cooled charging cable with a cooled connector that enables electric vehicles to be charged fully within an extremely short period of time. The leading global manufacturer of components and systems for electrical and optical connectivity has been granted the Bavarian State Award in the category “Energy Infrastructure & Storage” at the eCarTec 2016 Munich.
HUBER+SUHNER on solid path of growth after three quarters
After the third quarter HUBER+SUHNER once again confirms substantial growth compared with the previous year. Order intake amounted to CHF 567.8 million, representing a plus of 7%. Net sales during the same period increased by 5% to CHF 558.8 million. In organic terms, i.e. adjusted for portfolio, currency and copper effects, net sales grew by 4.4%.
HUBER+SUHNER: Award for sustainable commitment to the environment
HUBER+SUHNER was rated with the best grades for «Sector Leader Industrials» and «Index/Country Leader in Switzerland» in the 2015 CDP climate change report. At the award ceremony on Tuesday, the company received an award for its commitment to sustainable processes in all areas.
New high flex battery cables
HUBER+SUHNER is expanding its product range for battery cables in road vehicles by introducing new flexible cables. The stranding is based on individual wires with OD of 0.21mm. This will help improve the flexibility of the cable compared to standard battery cables. This high stranded design in combination with our flexible yet robust cross-linked insulation material (REMS) creates the perfect solution for the automotive market’s need for a highly flexible and robust cable. The cable will retain its flexibility over the complete temperature range. For example, the REMS insulation material allows the cable to keep its flexing performance even in the lowest temperatures, where other jacket materials, such as PVC, would get very stiff. The wire construction and cable dimension is based on existing ISO 6722 and LV 112 standards and the cables also meet the new IVECO specification (No. 11-847).
New Q-ODC-12 cable systems
Cabling systems with Q-ODC-12 connectors allow the installer to connect up to 6 remote radio heads with a single "click". The Q-ODC-12 connector is designed to be the smallest and most robust product in its class. Further, Q-ODC-12 has the highest fiber density, based on the proven QN push-pull mating system and can connect 12 fibers in one mating step. HUBER+SUHNER’s Q-ODC-12 cabling systems for RRH installations are available as fiber only or as hybrid cabling systems.

Not only are they extremely flexible and easy to use, thanks to their unique design, they also deliver best-in-class phase and amplitude stability with flexure, movement, temperature and tensile stress. True the motto: plug, test, smile.
RADOX cables for EC250/Giruno trains
Significant space savings and a weight reduction of several hundred kilos per train have made HUBER+SUHNER’s lightweight, thin-walled RADOX® Tenuis-TW cables the first choice for Swiss manufacturer Stadler’s large-scale contract with SBB. Stadler Rail is delivering 29 new eleven-unit trains for the Swiss railway company to operate on its high speed and transalpine routes from Zurich to Milan, including the prestigious new Gotthard Base Tunnel route.
