Thanks to its long standing experience in microwave ablation technology, HUBER+SUHNER is capable of manufacturing the thinnest cables with lowest electrical losses, while also allowing for cooling in or around the cable using liquid or gas cooling media.

The use of special connector solutions can contribute to improve the overall system performance. Cooling features within the connector construction facilitate superior heat dissipation in the very compact layout of an applicator handle.

Vast experience within sub-miniature connector and assembly technology enables HUBER+SUHNER to build the near field antenna elements within a MW Ablation device, utilising various joining techniques with the commonly used materials (metallic components, polymers, ceramics). We can either build-to-print or help improve the customer design in cooperation with our antenna development team. Furthermore, we can assist with thermal- and electrical simulation to streamline the design before creating hardware.

We offer stainless steel or carbon fiber cannulas for rigid probes or polymer based tubes for flexible applicators

HUBER+SUHNER can support the implementation of cooling systems or develop cooling management comprising manifolds, metal or plastic tubing, sealing, spikes, etc.

Utilising DC or fibre based thermocouples, we can assist with the ideal positioning of the temperature sensor in the very tight cross-sectional area of a probe cannula.

With our in-house precision moulding capabilities, we can support in designing and producing a highly ergonomic applicator handle.
