Indoor connectors and adapters

HUBER+SUHNER offers a wide range of fiber optic connectors optimised for both indoor and outdoor applications. Customer-specific connectors are also available in addition to a comprehensive standard product portfolio. In response to the rapid increase in requirements on different markets, HUBER+SUHNER develops innovative products tested in accordance with international standards. All fiber optic connectors meet the highest mechanical and thermal specifications.

LC portfolio

LC portfolio

The LC connector is established because of its small size and its very reliable connecting quality. In the last five years it has become the most popular connector in the world. To match the different customer needs, HUBER+SUHNER has enhanced the portfolio consistently. The HUBER+SUHNER LC-XD is taking the LC to a completely new level in packing density and handling.

SN portfolio

SN portfolio

SN portfolio offer a new-era duplex fiber optic connectivity with high-performance technology which allows to reach higher density compared to the LC duplex connector. With easy-to-clean ferrule technology and proven stable optical performance for a quick and reliable installation

MDC portfolio

MDC portfolio

MDC portfolio offer a new-era duplex fiber optic connectivity with high-performance technology which allows to reach higher density compared to the LC duplex connector. With easy-to-clean ferrule technology and proven stable optical performance for a quick and reliable installation

SC portfolio

SC portfolio

SC is one of the most common product for reliable networks and is therefor globally used. With its one-piece design, it also provides an easy termination. Handling is comfortable due to its push-pull mechanism.

E-2000™ (LSH) portfolio

E-2000™ (LSH) portfolio

E-2000 is a high performance connector which meets the highest standards by excellence in design and manufacturing processes. Only high quality and high precision materials are used to guarantee connections at the highest level. HUBER+SUHNER E-2000 products meet the international standards IEC 61754-15 and TIA 604-16 and are naturally RoHS/REACH compliant.

CLIK! portfolio

CLIK! portfolio

CLIK! is the new standard portfolio designed especially for the challenges arising with FITH. By keeping new environment in mind, and combining this with a fiber-background of more than 30 years' experience, HUBER+SUHNER has developed CLIK!, the extremely innovative connector-generation for FITH. With outstanding features such as its blind mating mechanism and its size, which has been specially designed for tight environments, it is the ideal solution for easy FITH-application. CLIK! is not only standardised in accordance with IEC 61754-30, CLIK! is still setting the FITH standard.

FC portfolio

FC portfolio

FC was one of the first established standards in the fiber optic market with physical contact. The FC is often used in military application because of its screwed locking mechanism.

ST portfolio

ST portfolio

ST was the first established standard in the fiber optic market with a bayonet mechanism. The ST is often used in industrial and security applications.

SMA portfolio

SMA portfolio

SMA was the first established standard in the fiber optic market without physical contact. The SMA is often used in industrial applicationx because of its water tightness and resistance to scratches.

Hybrid adapter portfolio

Hybrid adapter portfolio

HUBER+SUHNER offers a wide range of hybrid adapter for connections between diffrent connector series and types.

Harsh environment connectors

HUBER+SUHNER is the leading supplier of harsh environment fiber optic interfaces for communication, transportation and industrial markets. Harsh environment connectors are installed in many different types of environments such as coastal areas, wind turbines, urban buildings, and rural tower sites where extreme temperatures, vibration, salt mist, dirt and humidity are all typical challenges. Therefore robustness and reliability are crucial for fiber optic interfaces. Additionally, the interface needs to be safe to install and must not cause any installation errors – this is essential to compensate for unskilled installers.

Passive components

Attenuators

Attenuators

We offer a broad range of fixed attenuators, either as in-line or as pluggable attenuators with different attenuations and various connectors.

Couplers

Couplers

Couplers are a bidirectional device with three or more fiber ends, combining the signals of two or more input ports into one output port. They can also be referred to as splitter. Fused Biconical Tapering (FBT) refers to a manufacturing process for passive optical network components. It consist of twisting two bare fibers exactly to each other, stretching and then fusing the fibers together also called "tapering".

CUBO’s Fused Couplers are based on the classic technology of fiber fusion. The devices are used to split respectively combine power or can even be made to be wavelength sensitive and to provide a WDM functionality.

Splitters

Splitters

Planar Lightwave Circuit (PLC) splitters follow a specific manufacturing process for optical passive network components. They consist of a waveguide array that is applied to a silica chip by using a photolithographic masking process. HUBER+SUHNER offers a wide range of PLC splitters for all applications.

CUBO provides a great variety of hi-isolation bandsplitters, based on Thin Film Filters (TFF): Simple Wideband WDMs which create two channels at 1310 & 1550 nm, each with a bandwidth up to 100 nm. Or different CWDM bandsplitters for CWDM upgrades and extensions from e.g. 4 channels to 8 channels. Here, an important characteristic is the number of skipped (not-useable) channels, reaching from 0 to 2 channels.

Our Planar Lightwave Circuit (PLC) Splitters are a complementary splitting option to the fused couplers. When it comes to higher splitting ratios (> 1:4) they offer a lower loss and an overall better performance.

This makes them the ideal choice for FTTx applications with splitting rations of up to 1:64. We offer them as plain devices with or without connectors but as well packaged in accordance with your specific needs in splice trays, cassettes, line cards modules etc.

Switch cubes

Switch cubes

We offer a great variety of switches for telecom or sensor applications, ranging from 1x1 to 1x16 ports, applied in variable optical attenuation, protection, bypass switching or sensing applications, supporting multi mode to single mode, latching or non-latching with or without state monitoring.

So, there isn’t much that can’t be switched!

Transceivers

Transceivers (100G QSFP28 + CFP)

Transceivers (100G QSFP28 + CFP)

The CFP (C Form-factor Pluggable, where C stands for Centum, hundred) MSA is the first industry standard for pluggable 40Gbps and 100Gbps optical transceivers for telecom and datacom application.

CFP transceivers support various protocols (such as 40GbE, 100GbE, OC-768/STM-256, OTU4), media types (multimode and single mode fiber optics and also DWDM). Link distances reach from a few metres to 40km (and beyond). While the electrical connection is based at 4 lanes at 10Gbps (for 40G), respectively 10 x 10 Gbps (for 100G) in each direction, the optical interfaces vary, from supporting duplex single-mode fibers to fiber-ribbons.

Transceivers (40G QSFP & CFP)

Transceivers (40G QSFP & CFP)

The QFSP form factor is the second generation industry standard for pluggable 40Gbps optical transceivers. Size and power dissipation are significantly reduced compared to first generation CFP.

40G QSFP are available as SR4 (Multimode up to 100/150meters) and LR4 (Single Mode up to 10km) version. LR4 version uses 4 x 10Gbps CWDM wavelength in 1270nm-1330nm range and can be combined with SOA for range extension.
