General information
Cables placed on the market as construction products must comply with the regulation of the European Union taking effect as of the 1st of July 2017. This "Construction Products Regulation" regulates the requirements imposed on cables in terms of their reaction to fire. 
The objective of the regulation is to increase the safety in buildings and to ensure the protection of people’s health. The cables concerned are only those which are permanently installed in long-term infrastructure builds.

HUBER+SUHNER offering
HUBER+SUHNER offers its wide cable portfolio as CPR-rated in different classes for fiber and copper cables in accordance with regulation 305/2011/EN. B2ca is HUBER+SUHNER’s premium class for environments which require very high fire safety cables such as hospitals, childcare and multi-purpose buildings. As a standard class, HUBER+SUHNER provides its Cca-rated cables for buildings such as offices and administration buildings. The Cca class is achieved by HUBER+SUHNER’s standard cable portfolio.
