About us

Corporate history

HUBER+SUHNER was founded in 1969 through the alliance of a textile company from Pfäffikon ZH, Switzerland that also started to wind cotton yarn around  ladies’ hats due to the volatility  in the textile industry, named R. & E. Huber, and a dwelling house, producing metal cables for hand looms, called  Suhner & Co. AG in Herisau, Switzerland.

Through the ‘marriage’, the portfolio evolved over the years, becoming highly specialised and focused on making connections happen that are essential for the functioning of our society. Our products include cables, connectors and antennas which are supported by our core technologies of Radio Frequency, Fiber Optics and Low Frequency and that are offered individually or as solutions and applications to an array of markets such as Industry, Communications and Transportation,

We have been developing and expanding our footprint internationally over the years but stayed true to our Swiss roots where everything began back in the 19th century.

Headquarters in Herisau, Switzerland, are surrounded by the Alps of the Appenzell region.
