The upgrade of mobile communication platforms to the fourth generation transmission standard, Long Term Evolution (LTE), is in full swing in North America. Major network operators in the USA and Canada have already launched their first broadband networks and will continue to roll out tens of thousands of mobile communication antennas over the coming months and years. Most operators rely on the latest solutions from HUBER+SUHNER – since January 2011, the company has been awarded tenders worth in excess of USD 100 million, which will become effective over the coming years.

The Indian automobile manufacturer Mahindra is bringing out a hybrid version of its latest model, the XUV500 all-terrain vehicle. HUBER+SUHNER supplies a customized high-voltage connectivity system for this series-production vehicle. On the occasion of the 33rd International Vienna Motor Symposium, Mahindra introduced HUBER+SUHNER as an official partner on 27 April 2012. The Swiss specialist in electrical and optical connectivity technology is thus establishing itself as a supplier of innovative systems in the promising market for electric and hybrid vehicles.

Reto Bolt to become Chief Operating Officer Radio Frequency at HUBER+SUHNER

The Board of Directors of the HUBER+SUHNER Group, a company specialised in electrical and optical connectivity, has decided to appoint Mr. Reto Bolt as the new Head of the Radio Frequency Division and member of the Executive Group Management as of 1 July 2012. He will succeed Mr. Jean-Luc Gavelle, who will be leaving the company by 30 June 2012 as previously announced.
