Join us at Swissrail Pavilion

Hall 2.2, Booth #250

At HUBER+SUHNER, we connect trains. We don’t just stop at components though: we are a solutions provider, with our technologies demonstrably enhancing networks and systems for both rolling stock and trackside.

On 24-27 September 2024, we will return to InnoTrans, the major international trade fair for transportation technology. Taking place at the Messe Berlin, you will find us within the Swissrail Pavilion in Hall 2.2, Booth #250, where we are exhibiting two floors’ worth of best-in-class rail and automotive solutions.

Enabling high-speed on-board data transmission

Alongside our partner McLaren Applied, we will showcase a complete end-to-end solution with critical elements of HUBER+SUHNER award-winning SENCITY® Rail ACTIVE antenna and McLaren Applied’s patented Fleet Connect software. The solution simplifies deployment of train-to-ground systems with just a single ethernet cable (with PoE), ensures less dropouts and provides a distributed gateway system that eliminates single points of failure on a train, with upload and download speeds several times faster than in conventional systems.

Additionally, there will be a unique easy-to-install inter-carriage FO backbone solution, composed of an FO jumper connected with TWINFLIX HL3 cables and our QODC connectors.

Connectivity from rolling stock to the tracks

Across the globe, our dedicated Wi-Fi solutions are providing seamless connectivity between trains, stations and along the trackside through our trackside antennas, RF cable assemblies, etc. Our customers are already benefitting from communication-based train control (CBTC) to condense transportation cycles and operational costs, while ensuring greater track capacity and overall safety.

Looking ahead, with the Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) set to replace GSM-R by 2035, we will also be showcasing a new SENCITY® antenna designed for both GSM-R and FRMCS. By making both technologies available to our customers, we will ensure they benefit from a smooth transition from one system to the other.

Innovative cable system solutions for rolling stock

Our engineering expertise in innovative cable systems will be made apparent through Siemens’ Velaro inter-vehicle jumper system, which will be available to view on the show floor. Responsible for the electric connections vital for a train's operation, our inter-vehicle jumper systems – found in the Velaro – are underpinning connectivity on ICE 3neo fleet. We are delighted to be bringing this system to the event for the first time.

We will also present our lightweight - and space-optimising - wires and cables which have been developed using our market-leading RADOX® technology.

Empowering electric commercial vehicles

We don’t just stop at connecting trains however: for the first time at InnoTrans, we will also be bringing our cutting-edge high voltage solutions for the automotive sector.

On show will be our modular High Voltage Distribution Unit (mHVDU), modular cable assemblies (mCAY), EV-C 2 connection systems and RADOX® high-voltage cables. Our automotive team is excited to meet and discuss our customer’s demands for prototype and serial needs.
