High voltage power distribution

Enable safe and efficient distribution of high-voltage power for road vehicles with RADOX® technology.

Our carefully engineered high-voltage distribution systems guarantee secure power distribution among all high-voltage components in battery electric vehicles (BEV), fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV), and hybrid vehicles. Also suitable for passenger vehicles, our solutions are designed to optimise the performance of commercial vehicle types, including electric heavy-duty trucks, battery electric buses, electric construction vehicles, and more.

Our RADOX® high-voltage cables and cable systems have been developed to withstand exceptionally strong thermal, chemical, electrical, and mechanical loads. This means BEV, FCEV, and hybrid vehicle performance is unaffected, even when used in the harshest conditions and applications.

Reliable, efficient, and durable high-voltage power distribution for electric (BEV/FCEV) and hybrid vehicles

The distribution of power in electric vehicles poses a considerable hurdle in the design and construction of systems, particularly in terms of safety and shielding. This is attributed to the high and potentially fatal currents generated when the vehicle is in use.

HUBER+SUHNER designs and manufactures complete high-voltage solutions for the highest power levels. With their robust and reliable performance, they assure safe and efficient vehicle power distribution between high-voltage components. They also safeguard the integrity of the electrical system, having been carefully designed to maintain engagement at high levels of shock and vibration, and operate across a wide range of temperatures.

Our broad range of high-voltage power distribution solutions for the automotive industry offers space- and weight-saving designs and builds on our broad spectrum of RADOX® cables and cable systems, including high-voltage coaxial cables, high-voltage electrical connectors, and high-voltage cable assemblies.

RADOX modular Cable Assembly (mCAY)

The new high voltage modular cable assembly simplifies manufacturing for electric heavy duty vehicles like trucks and buses. With streamlined assembly and in-house production capabilities, the solution offer complete cable assemblies with end-of-line testing, ready for immediate installation in EVs.

RADOX EV-C 2 connection system

The performance of heavy-duty Electric Vehicles (EVs) will no longer be disrupted by vibrations and shocks when in use, thanks to the new RADOX EV-C 2 high-voltage connection system, part of HUBER+SUHNER high voltage power distribution solutions.

Based on well-defined interfaces and internal architectures, HUBER+SUHNER has designed a modular high-voltage distribution unit (mHVDU) that can be tailored to unique customer specifications (fuse size, inputs/outputs, etc.). The modular systems and components are tested and validated against various global automotive regulations and standards to ensure the highest quality solution for electric vehicles, including high-voltage automotive and high-voltage power distribution EV.
