Optical Distribution Frames (ODF)

HUBER+SUHNER offers a wide range of Optical Distribution Frames (ODF) to meet its customers' requirements. The comprehensive range of Cable Distribution Racks (CDR) is designed to fulfil the diverse needs of the typical data center operator. The modern cabinet range is based on anodised aluminium profiles (C-frame) with tool-free, quick-release doors and side panels.

Cable Distribution Rack (CDR)

Cable Distribution Rack (CDR)

The CDR (Cable Distribution Rack) is a purpose-built high-density fiber management rack which serves as a central cross-connect in the main distribution area of data centers. With a footprint depth of only 300 mm, the CDR is fully modular and scalable up to 1620 ports (3240 fibers) using LC connectivity and 1080 ports (25920 fibers) using MTP connectivity. Users benefit from a C-shaped construction that allows all internal sub-elements to be installed and accessed from the front side. This important feature means that CDRs can be placed back to back on a single floor tile or, alternatively, against an unused wall for minimal space consumption.

The CDR is the most flexible and scalable fiber management system on the market. Different fiber performances, connectivity types and applications can be mixed and matched in the same cabinet, which enables the overall solution to evolve at the same pace as the data center.

The CDR rack adapts to any environment and can be configured to meet any requirements. Its large range of accessories facilitates fiber management and improves cabling.

Accessories offer different items and upgrades to complete the various applications and to optimise CDR utilisation. All accessories can be retrofitted in the cabinet.

CDR 300 mm wide

The 300 mm wide rack is supplied as a stand-alone cabinet and offers additional fiber management to the standard 900 mm CDR when overlength needs to be managed on both sides.

The 600 mm wide rack is supplied as an empty cabinet.

CDR 600 mm wide

The 600 mm wide rack is supplied as an empty cabinet. LISA chassis can be installed on site to accept different types of LISA cassettes depending on the required performance or connectivity type.

The 900 mm wide rack has integrated patch cord management on the right-hand side.

CDR 900 mm wide

The 900 mm wide rack has integrated patch cord management on the right-hand side. It facilitates the installation of standard LISA chassis for pigtail splicing or MTP-LC furcation. The 900 mm wide rack is generally used for 1G and 10G serial transmission where a standard LC connector interface is required. The 900 mm wide cabinet is supplied as an empty cabinet. LISA chassis can be installed on site to accept different types of LISA cassettes depending on the required performance or connectivity type.

Optical distribution frame CDR1200 by HUBER+SUHNER

CDR 1200 mm wide

The CDR 1200 is designed as a dedicated "patching rack" and is configured by adding a 300 mm wide cable overlength rack to the left-hand side of a standard 900 mm rack. The CDR 1200 is configured to provide an equal amount of cable management on both sides of the rack. The 1200 mm wide rack is ideally suited for patching applications with standard connectivity (patch cords or fan-outs) or 40G and 100G applications where MTP connectivity is required.

The CDR 1500 is designed particularly to address the needs of the colocation market for managing passive optical components with physical separation.

CDR 1500 mm wide

The CDR 1500 is designed particularly to address the needs of the colocation market for managing passive optical components with physical separation (clear demarcation points) between the customer and provider side. The rack is especially designed for LISA Double Access applications. The CDR 1500 has a 3-rack design (600/300/600 mm) which facilitates transportation, on-site handling and installation and thus helps installers to minimise installation time and costs.

Dividing plates provide separation between patch cords and incoming cables.
