Nacelle communication

Fiber optic cables are being increasingly used in wind turbines since they can transmit a high volume of data reliably. Wind turbines can only operate efficiently if they are continuously adjusted to the climatic conditions. To control the turbine correctly, the nacelle must be permanently aligned to the wind direction. By adjusting the rotor blades, it is possible to keep their rotation constant over a wide range of wind speeds. A large volume of environmental and operating data must be sent back to the turbine reliably in the form of control commands. This is where HUBER+SUHNER products are ideal since they deliver maximum reliability.
