Diagnostics - Overview
280
With the three technologies of radio frequency, low frequency and fiber optics under one roof, HUBER+SUHNER can supply bespoke solutions in addition to a wide range of standard products. Decades of experience working with leading manufacturers of imaging diagnostic equipment have resulted in the ongoing development of products and materials. This means that the portfolio includes many products which have been enhanced for these specific requirements.
RF system
Our high quality cables and connectors are ideal for the RF connectivity between the generator and the transmit coil in MRI Scanners and also for the receiver circuitry of imaging devices in general.
Surface coils
This type of receiver coils in MRI is placed directly on the region of interest of the patient's body inside the main magnetic field. The materials of its RF Circuitry need therefore to be chosen with care so that the magnetic field is not distorted.
Cryogenic system
In cryogenic environments special care needs to be taken when choosing the right RF components. In NMR, for example, cryoprobes can be cooled at 20 K or lower temperatures.
Hermetically sealed connection
HUBER+SUHNER's hermetically sealed connectors and adapters allow RF signals to be transmitted into and out of hermetically sealed chambers using standard cable assemblies.
FO based data transmission
Large volumes of digital data are generated in imaging diagnostic devices. This data can be transferred to the hospital's data center using fiber optical connection. The fiber's immunity to EMI and its very low loss are very advantageous for such applications.
