TVAC testing
280
Simulating the conditions found in outer space imposes extreme requirements on all components, from the test subject inside the thermal vacuum chamber through to the measuring installations outside. Whole satellites or space components have been tested in thermal vacuum chambers under the conditions found in outer space. They are exposed to vacuum and extreme temperature variations.
Non-outgassing materials
Our TVAC cable assemblies are manufactured with parts and materials that comply with the levels of ECSS-Q-ST-70-02 and NASA reference publication 1124, which references to a maximum Total Mass Loss (TML) of 1% or Collectible Volatile Condensible Material Level of 0.1%.
All vented connectors
The SUCOFLEX TVAC connectors have all vented connectors to reassure a stress less flow of air into and out of the cable assemblies during the pressurisation or depressurisation cycles.
Superior mechanical protection
The SUCOFLEX TVAC cable assemblies can be configured with additional armours to protect the high performance microwave cables from any kind of mechanical forces that can occur in a lab and final assembly line environment. The special armour consists out of a stainless steel spring and further protection layers that can resist up to 80kN/m of crush resistance.
High power capabilities
The products 32071 TVAC and SUCOFLEX 106 TVAC offer an outstanding performance level for high power applications. Achieving several hundred Watts' continuous power under real vacuum conditions.
