Wireless/cellular connectivity

Wireless connectivity has become essential in various industries, but building a long-lasting, reliable wireless network that provides good coverage requires reliable products that adhere to specific requirements. Depending on the actual installation position and operation mode, requirements include specific antenna parameters and mechanical properties such as water tightness, salt water and spray resistance, shock and vibration resistance.
These considerations apply not only to the wireless infrastructure, but also to machines connected to the network. Since machines are able to connect to different networks, antenna requirements increase, specifically for bandwidth and bands, which may include frequencies for Wi-Fi, cellular (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G), GNSS (GPS), Tetra, LPWA (low-power wide-area networks), and others.
Antenna cabling normally has a focus on easy installation, flexibility, low losses and fulfilling environmental requirements, including water tightness, oil and radiation resistance.
Lightning protectors are also available from the HUBER+SUHNER portfolio, allowing for additional protection of the active equipment. This way, the whole analog path from the access point’s antenna port to the antenna to be covered with HUBER+SUHNER products.
