Wireless and cellular infrastructure
Wireless connectivity has developed into a major technology in many industries, including oil and gas, where it is rapidly becoming a requirement of devices and machines.
In order to build a long-lasting, reliable wireless network which provides good coverage, many requirements must be met. Depending on point of installations, this may include certain antenna parameter requirements (gain, VSWR, etc.), but also mechanical properties such as water tightness, salt water and spray resistance, shock and vibration resistance.
Devices may connect on different standards - such as Wi-Fi, or cellular - 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G - but also other services such as GNSS (GPS) may be required on the antenna side. Antenna cabling typically has a focus on easy installation, flexibility, low losses and the ability to fulfil environmental requirements, such as water tightness, oil and radiation resistance.
HUBER+SUHNER has a large portfolio of products fulfilling these needs, providing excellent performance and ensuring a long operation.

RF cables (performance line)
The PTFE/FEP cables of our RG/K series are designed for applications up to 200 °C and are characterised by low losses, especially at high frequencies. The Enviroflex cables do not contain fluorine plastics either in the dielectric nor in the jacket and thus provide a robust and environmentally friendly option.
The product series Spuma, S and SX provide lowest attenuation, high flexibility and optimal shielding. Products from the Spuma series are similar to the LMR® products from Times Microwave. The series with LSFH jacket material and the radiation crosslinked SX series with the RADOX® jacket offer extremely high flame protection.
HUBER+SUHNER is offering a wide range of unobstrusive and easy to install wideband antennas for distributed antenna systems.
HUBER+SUHNER develops and produces robust, small form factor antennas for various industrial applications.
HUBER+SUHNER is offering various antennas for trains and buses that transmit signals perfectly within the vehicle and along the track.
HUBER+SUHNER QMA and QN connectors have a quick-lock coupling mechanism. QMA and QN are easy to mate and allow a high packaging density because no tools are needed.
HUBER+SUHNER BNC is a popular connector series featuring a two stud bayonet coupling mechanism, which is particularly useful for frequently coupled and uncoupled RF connections with frequencies up to 4 GHz. BNC connectors are available for 50 ohm and 75 ohm applications.
HUBER+SUHNER TNC connectors are threaded RF connectors applicable from DC up to 11 GHz. 50 ohm TNC and 75 ohm TNC connectors are intermateable without restrictions.
HUBER+SUHNER coaxial inserts 1.0/2.3 are suitable for the insertion of layout connectors DIN 41612 (pattern M). These inserts feature a slide-on coupling mechanism suitable for applications up to 4 GHz.
HUBER+SUHNER is offering a wide range of adapters in various configurations like within series or between series, straight or angled designs and some with panel mount features. Adapters can also be custom designed in accordance with your application specific requirements.
Gas discharge tube (GDT) protectors
HUBER+SUHNER gas discharge tube (GDT) technology based EMP protectors are generally designed as coaxial feed-through devices for 50 or 75 ohm systems. GDT technology based protectors feature DC/AC continuity for remote powering and large bandwidth.
Quarter-wave shorting stub protectors
HUBER+SUHNER protectors based on quarter-wave technology feature excellent protection performance with very good RF specification. For specific applications protectors with internal DC-block are available.
