Bringing a higher degree of flexibility into RF-Energy applications. Polymer supported waveguides are available for integration into your RF-Energy applications.

Features

High power capability and low losses
The very high power capability and the very low losses make waveguides the perfect RF-Energy transmission method. Dielectric loaded waveguides keep these properties, supporting significant higher power levels at significant lower losses compared to cables.

Cost efficient
HUBER+SUHER polymer supported waveguides are extruded and metallized. This way, production in high volumes becomes very cost efficient, helping to reduce total cost of ownership to the lowest possible level.

Compatibility to existing components
The HUBER+SUHNER RFEX is supporting direct connection of RF-Energy amplifier modules with polymer supported waveguides. Also rectangular waveguides can be connected easily, making them compatible with existing systems. Launcher, and adaptor structures can be added at no extra cost.

Flexibility and small size
The dielectric helps reducing the size of the waveguide significantly. Since the waveguides are extruded, the geometry can be defined customer and application specific, and allows for example narrow bendings. This way, integration density can be increased.

 

Applications

Supporting multiple RF-Energy power amplifiers
Power combiners can be realized as polymer supported waveguides if higher output power levels are required. This way, PCB space and thus cost, as well as losses can be reduced when compared to implementations on PCB.
