Couplers
Couplers are a bidirectional device with three or more fiber ends, combining the signals of two or more input ports into one output port. They can also be referred to as splitter. Fused Biconical Tapering (FBT) refers to a manufacturing process for passive optical network components. It consist of twisting two bare fibers exactly to each other, stretching and then fusing the fibers together also called "tapering".
CUBO’s Fused Couplers are based on the classic technology of fiber fusion. The devices are used to split respectively combine power or can even be made to be wavelength sensitive and to provide a WDM functionality.
