World renowned solutions for lawful intercept and cybersecurity
HUBER+SUHNER Polatis provides best-in-class all-optical circuit switching solutions for routing of digital data at any rate and in any format. With the industry’s highest port counts (up to 384x384), POLATIS switches form the heart of network monitoring systems, providing cost-effective connectivity between signal feeds and signal analysis tools for intelligence and lawful intercept solutions. Government organizations worldwide rely on POLATIS switches in their secure, high performance, mission critical network monitoring solutions.

The challenge of cost effectively monitoring network traffic
The networks to be monitored, and the point of intercept, can take on many different forms. The point of monitoring could be at a submarine cable landing station, in a carrier facility, internet exchange or data center, or on a network that is monitored for national security purposes. That location may be unmanned and possibly even remote.
In many of these applications the numbers of fibers to be monitored can be in the hundreds or even thousands. Each of those fibers can be carrying hundreds of gigabytes of traffic which creates a challenge for those tasked to sort through mountains of traffic in order to find specific information of interest.

Featured technology
Lowest latency optical circuit switching
Bring software-controlled optical circuit switching into your network to maximise uptime and performance for your network monitoring, cyber security, analog signal backhaul, and secure communications links. The HUBER+SUHNER Polatis portfolio of all-optical circuit switches is equipped with our patented DirectLight™ beam-steering technology, making it the only optical circuit switch on the market that can hold dark fiber connections, enabling pre-provisioning and managing low or intermittent signals. Our circuit switches are mirrorless, providing a significant reduction in amplitude distortion relative to MEMS switching technology for maximum signal integrity through the switch. Polatis switches are offered in NxN and MxN configurations and are compatible with our complete line of network taps, fiber cables, patch cords, fiber management and structured cabling solutions, WDM components, and more.

HUBER+SUHNER's broad portfolio of highly-engineered and technician-friendly connectivity options provide excellent optical performance that boost the efficiency and speed of data centers and communication networks. We've supported hundreds of customers in setting up and maintaining streamlined and future-proof optical data networks that incorporate any combination of high-performance active/passive splitters, junction boxes, breakout terminals, optical switches, multiplexers, RF-over-Fiber (RFoF) links, harnesses, chassis, splice modules, etc. Our SMEs design fiber management solutions that combine simplicity of deployment, future bandwidth needs, ruggedization, and even reliable port identification into a mission-tailored approach that minimizes total cost of ownership (TCO) and maximizes longevity in mission critical networks.
LC-XD: Xtreme density, superior handling
The patented LC-XD connector system from HUBER+SUHNER is designed for simplified maintenance of high-density data networks. An extended pull tab mechanism allows for frustration-free port identification, highest-density packaging, and significantly improved accessibility for mating and demating. Available in simplex and duplex (uniboot) designs and compatible with SM and MM fiber.
Q-ODC: IP68 push-pull optical connectors for quick mate applications in severe environments
Small form factor, IP68 sealed optical connectivity designed to bring the simplicity of push-pull coupling to harsh environment applications -- the Q-ODC connector series from HUBER+SUHNER is a compact interface supporting from 2 to 24 fibers per connection utilizing compact 1.25mm ferrules or MT ferrules depending on density needs. The Q-ODC's robust, quick-locking push-pull mating mechanism with a 360° metal-encapsulated housing design and a rubber grommet for IP68 sealing enables one-hand, tool-free, ultra-reliable mating and demating cycles, providing numerous user benefits including reduced installation time and rapid reconfigurability in the field.
Corrosion resistant RF connectors and adapters
HUBER+SUHNER offers a wide portfolio of Stainless Steel 316L connector options for many of our high-performance coaxial cable assembly product lines. The 316L alloy increases the survivability of metallic hardware in corrosive environments, most notably salt-heavy atmospheres present in marine applications. Our selection of off-the-shelf available connectors and adapters enable quick-turn component and assembly deliveries to support your marine environment application.
